As Tenement Trail creeps even closer, Edinburgh’s Vistas soundtrack the pre-party with a favourable playlist.

Tenement Trail showcases some of the best talent sprouting throughout the UK within a group of venues in Glasgow’s city centre (tickets here). It only made sense to ask one of our top picks for the weekend to help soundtrack the run up to the festival – referring to none other than the colourful slice of indie rock that is Vistas.

We’ve had our eyes on this quartet for a while now; with nothing but energetically stylish tracks tucked under their belts – all eyes will be on this Edinburgh four piece very soon. After playing a festival-packed Summer and now heading on a co-headline tour with TOUTS; that ‘soon’ is looking pretty close.

Dive in below to see who they’re listening to and who they think you should catch at Tenement Trail; over to you Vistas.

“We decided to include 6 of our favorite Tenement Trail acts and 6 other artists we have been listening to a lot. We’ve included Catholic Action and Clean Cut Kid in our playlist as we have played with both bands in the past and they are both great live bands – definitely recommend catching their sets!
We watched both Neon Waltz and Anteros at TRNSMT and they were both great, since then we listen to their tunes a lot and they’re another two great bands playing Tenement Trail this week!
We have never seen The Big Moon or The Temperance Movement before so we are looking forward to finally seeing them live!
Prentice: I chose Will Joseph Cook because it’s just amazing pop music which I can’t get enough of. He has so many infectious choruses so if you do check out his music just be ready for that.
Dylan: Recently i’ve been listening to The Magic Gang and loving their new single Your Love; feels like it has a very Beatles/John Lennon vibe to it but The Magic Gang definitely put their own stamp on the track.
I’ve also been digging the new Mac DeMarco record and got the chance to see Mac live at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh a few weeks back which was an awesome experience.
Jamie: I chose to include both Hippo Campus and Superfood, two bands I came across via my Daily Mix on Spotify. Both bands have just released new music which you got to check out.
Graham: I chose to put The Amazons on because they have massive riffs, massive vocals, massive drums and just massive everything! We met the guys briefly at TRNSMT festival and caught their set so not only are they a great live band but are great guys too.”
