London duo, The New Coast bring back those electro-pop waves with Slow Down. This time, not persisting a sun-kissed backdrop, instead slow balladry takes on tranquility and that state of serenity.
Members Nick Blyth and Chris Cheater echo an indie-pop winner. Soaring vocals fly easy, taking flight against glittering guitars and picturesque lyrics. Inspired by films, the pair envision a montage through this piece of poised beauty.
“We wanted to create a less urgent and dream like atmosphere for Slow Down. It talks about the pressures of living in London and how it’s nice to go down to the countryside and literally slow down for a while. We always like doing that, it gives us perspective on the music we are writing and it always feels more invigorating coming back to the city afterwards. This song literally tells that story.”
Taken from the forthcoming debut EP, Paraga Beach, The New Coast boast potential in Slow Down.
