PHOTOS + REVIEW: VINCE STAPLES + KILO KISH @ 9:30 CLUB, WASHINGTON DC

Washed in colour, Vince Staples and Kilo Kish brought the Life Aquatic Tour to a sold out crowd at D.C.’s 9:30 club.

First up was opener Kilo Kish, who stunned the audience with her captivating and theatrical performance. Kish moved swiftly through her set list aided only by her own fluid motions, not pausing to talk to her crowd until her premeditated performance came to a close.

After a small break, headliner Vince Staples graced the stage at the 9:30 – after his diverse discography development, The Life Aquatic Tour is a teaser for what’s to come.

Staples performed amidst stunning graphics and a sea of royal tones of blue and gold. From the balcony, a sold out crowd of silhouettes stood in awe of Staples’ skill and jumped eagerly with the bass as it moved through their bodies. Before ending his set, Vince left his audience with one message for D.C. – “find our girls.”
