Ferocious energy and strident guitar twangs, Glasgow’s Rascalton have developed a reputation this past year – for tireless live sets that is.
Grown to love the four piece for all of their rock tangents, Rascalton are quick moving to the spotlight with their fresh faced, fast paced anthems. Read below as we talk Love Island, Ty Segall and playing Electric Fields this weekend.
3 words that sum up your sound?
Raw, energetic, shambolic.
Favourite song you’ve ever written?
This Is It probably. We love the energy of the song and actually what it’s about.
Favourite song to play live?
Personally I would rate Alone as my favourite song to play live. Simply because everyone knows the words somehow. It’s always a mad one when the riff comes.
First festival you ever went to?
T in the park 2014!
Best and weirdest festival moment to date?
Weirdest moment is definitely seeing peg eat a fag in return for one to smoke.
Last song you were listening to?
Ty Segall – Girlfriend
What excites you most about Electric Fields?
It’s our first big festival so that’s pretty exciting. Tons of other class acts too which will be fun.
Top 3 moments to still tick off the bucket list?
1. Play Barrowlands 2. Get Peg a girlfriend 3. Take over the world
You’re ultimate guilty pleasure?
Love island. (Jack only)
Lastly, what’s up next?
We’ll be touring quite heavily over the next few months and with more releases coming soon!
