LISTEN: SELF CONTROL // SKJØR

Edinburgh based SKJØR’s release their debut single Self Control.

Self Control opens sounding like Razorlight combined with Bombay Bicycle Club’s early ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’ style. When the unique vocals then break through, the track is given a whole new feel.

The B-Side Without Hope, opens with echoed vocals over a drum beat creating a chilled out and relaxed feel to the track. The track hints at the style Bears Den adopted for the track Gabriel.

The single has a The Japanese House feeling with the terrific female vocals combined with soft guitar. The single leaves SKJØR many options moving to the future with sounds ready to be experimented and expanded further as the Edinburgh based band progress.
