Ayakara are back with a new single ‘Dressed from ‘67’ – celebrating the 50-year anniversary of The Summer of Love.

Edinburgh five piece have spun out an excellently chilled indie rock track with a light Libertines feel mixed with early Arctic Monkeys, adding another superb addition to their growing catalogue of music.

The record opens with a strong bass before vocals layer over and bring a relaxing glaze to the guitar. With a slight teasing towards a chilled out atmosphere to the captivating bass and drums vamping the track and giving it a more energetic groove – it unfolds.

Towards the end comes a light and floaty guitar solo that wouldn’t sound out of place coming from Mac Demarco with its almost psychedelic feel. It then picks up speed before jumping into the final chorus with the catchy lyrics that title the track.

Something to latch onto and the quick pick me up you’ve been looking for. Have a listen.
