Gripping energy at their fingertips, Leeds four piece, Marsicans are a band you need to know.

Newly released, The Absence EP will show why. An 8 tracks collection of tireless melodies, each one pitting an outburst of addictive melodies against catchy drum beats and golden lyrics.

Recent heartthrob, Absence, welcomes with open arms. Setting off as a slow ballad before becoming a dual-vocal whirlwind of compelling sounds. A stripped back version follows close by, featuring vocals from Sophie Pearson and ethereal harmonies – a glorifying listen.

Accompanying the love affair, three previous honey-eyed tracks – Arms of Another, Swimming and Far Away (Saudade). That’s not to mean they’re unexcitable, as all hold an impulsive riff or soaring chorus, and offer either a remix or string quartet version.

An EP that will melt your heart, serve as a pick me up and get those toes tapping. Marsicans hold the title for dirty-pop outfits.
